A modular system for businesses that sell stock
Stock, sales and fulfilment working together.
Modern Seller brings your product data, stock, sales and fulfilment into one coordinated system. Sell in store, online and to trade customers, automate marketplace listing work, and give your staff a shared view of stock and orders.

Does this sound familiar?
Is listing work holding back the stock you could sell?
Prepare product data once and use MS to drive marketplace listing, updates and stock availability.
Are staff piecing together stock and order information?
Give staff a shared view of products, stock, purchases, customers and sales when they need an answer.
Are you preparing commercial invoices separately?
Produce a consignment's commercial invoice from the order information already in MS.
Is organising the day's dispatch work taking too long?
Search for the orders you need, choose a run and use optional grouped picking or same-item packing.
The system
Keep the business
connected.
If your staff spend time reconciling separate systems or repeating work manually, Modern Seller brings the daily processes of handling and selling stock together.
Sell in store
A till sale updates stock.
Manage marketplaces
Available quantities feed listings.
Fulfil online orders
Staff pick, pack and dispatch.
Plan replenishment
Use sales across channels.
A sale at the till reduces the stock available on eBay. An eBay order flows into MS for the dispatch team to fulfil through Packing. When it is time to buy replacement stock, staff can take sales from both channels into account when planning the supplier order. That is the connection between selling, stock, fulfilment and buying that MS is designed to support.
Put marketplace automation to work
MS supports automatic listing and delisting, updates to listings when product data changes, order retrieval and marketplace dispatch/tracking updates. Staff use the packing and printing tools to carry out fulfilment, with shared stock and order information supporting their work.
A modular system. One connected business.
Modern Seller is a modular system of focused Windows applications and background services. The staff applications give people workspaces for different parts of the business, sharing the product, stock, order and customer information that connects their work.
Kiosk: product information and prices in your shop
Scan a product. See the price. Discover more.
Place customer price-checking stations throughout your shop, using compatible Windows tablets and other suitable devices with barcode scanners. Shoppers scan goods to see their price, pictures, descriptions and product information.
Each station becomes an in-store sales tool, helping customers understand what they are buying. It can reduce—and potentially replace—the ongoing work of putting individual price tickets on stock.
Kiosk is included with Search. One application brings together staff enquiries and a dedicated experience for shoppers.
- Place customer price-checking stations around the shop, on compatible Windows tablets and other suitable devices.
- Show the product as well as the price, using your product pictures, descriptions and information.
- Reduce—and potentially replace—individual price-ticketing work with customer scanning stations.

Switching to Modern Seller
We review your requirements, prepare the data, configure MS and train your key user before go-live. The plan reflects your current systems, working practices and the information you need to bring across.
Understand the work
Tell us what prompted you to look for a new system, the channels you sell through and the work you need to improve.
Review and prepare the data
Share your existing product, stock and business data so we can plan what needs cleaning, mapping and importing.
Configure MS
Agree the branch, warehouse, marketplace, courier and printing arrangements needed for your business.
Train your key user
We preferably train one person thoroughly before go-live, giving colleagues someone on site who knows the system well. We can train more people too.
Go live
We work with you during setup and the switch, including site visits where needed, then reduce that intensive involvement as your team becomes proficient.
We quote the implementation work and timetable after reviewing your data, processes and training needs. There is no single timetable for every business.
Implementation is quoted separately. Your ongoing software, computing and support are covered by an agreed monthly package, with no extra charges for users, sales, products or support, and no percentage-of-sales fee.
Before you switch.
What equipment and software do we need?
MS runs on Windows 10 or later and requires Microsoft Excel and Adobe Reader. We review your working arrangements during implementation, including the scanners and printers needed for your shop, stock and dispatch work.
Where is our data hosted and backed up?
Your database is hosted on AWS Aurora, with capacity scaled as needed. Aurora provides automatic backups, including a daily system backup. We agree backup arrangements around your business requirements.
Why does MS use Windows applications?
MS works directly with the scanners and printers used for stock, till and dispatch work. Each application provides a workspace suited to its job while sharing product, stock and order information across the business.
How do we switch, and how long does it take?
We plan migration around your data, processes and training needs, then quote the implementation work and timetable. We work closely with you during setup and preferably train one person thoroughly before go-live, with further staff training where needed.
How is MS priced?
We agree a monthly package covering MS software, computing and support, taking your inventory, sales, staff and marketplaces into account. There are no extra charges for users, sales, products or support, and we do not take a percentage of sales. The price and contract term are agreed before renewal; implementation is quoted separately.
