The MS modules
Search
Find answers across the business.
Search is the enquiry workspace for products, stock, sales, purchases, movements, customers, suppliers and activity. Product images, specifications, sales history and stock-cover planning help staff answer questions and make informed buying decisions. Its kiosk mode provides a focused product and price lookup.

Products and catalogue
2SearchProduct details and image gallery
Use images and specifications to explain products to customers.
Product details and image gallery
Use images and specifications to explain products to customers.
Open a larger product viewer with ordered image thumbnails, descriptions and bullet points. Consult stored condition, colour, size, dimensions, weight, warranty, origin, product news and other populated specifications.
The viewer displays stored product information and accessible images. A proof-of-age flag is information, rather than an age-verification process.
SearchProduct information at the price station
Show the product as well as its price.
- Brand the waiting screen
Product information at the price station
Show the product as well as its price.
- Brand the waiting screen
A successful scan displays the product's title, subtitle, descriptions and bullets, with an image slideshow when pictures are available. Flagged products can also display a proof-of-age reminder, and the waiting screen can use the company's logo.
Functions in this topic
Brand the waiting screen
Use the configured company logo on the kiosk's idle scanning prompt.
Text and image references use the loaded catalogue. The age reminder does not verify identity or enforce a sale restriction.
Stock and buying
9SearchStock and quantities on order
See available stock and incoming purchase quantities together.
Stock and quantities on order
See available stock and incoming purchase quantities together.
Product results show total, sellable and other stock quantities, alongside quantities still to arrive on placed or partly received purchases. Hover over the on-order quantity to see the contributing suppliers, orders and remaining quantities; bundle quantities reflect the limiting component.
This is recorded stock and purchasing information. It does not place or receive a purchase order.
SearchProduct sales history by channel
Review selling patterns beside stock availability.
Product sales history by channel
Review selling patterns beside stock availability.
Optional history columns show sales over 7, 30 and 90 days and twelve months, plus the last sale. Ordinary product searches can narrow these figures to an individual till operator, a source and seller, all till sales or other sales channels.
The main history controls depend on Business Management access. Channel-filtered history is an ordinary-search capability; Smart Find does not apply the selected seller to its history calculation.
SearchComponent demand, returns and stock age
Understand demand for individual items and items sold in bundles.
- Measure bundle-component demand
- Review refunded quantities
- Review free-of-charge supply
- Identify the oldest active stock
Component demand, returns and stock age
Understand demand for individual items and items sold in bundles.
- Measure bundle-component demand
- Review refunded quantities
- Review free-of-charge supply
- Identify the oldest active stock
Ordinary history can count single products sold directly and as bundle components, or show component demand alone. Additional columns show refunded quantities, qualifying free-of-charge supply and the oldest booking date of active stock.
Functions in this topic
Measure bundle-component demand
Count individual products sold directly and through bundles, or concentrate on their consumption through bundles alone.
Review refunded quantities
Show quantities refunded against original sale items alongside the ordinary product sales history.
Review free-of-charge supply
Show qualifying invoiced free-of-charge product quantities in ordinary history.
Identify the oldest active stock
Consult the earliest booking date of active stock for each product.
Refund figures describe quantities, rather than refund money or confirmed physical returns. These expanded history calculations are available through ordinary product search.
SearchMonthly sales comparison
Compare monthly product sales across two years.
Monthly sales comparison
Compare monthly product sales across two years.
A product's detail viewer places the current month and preceding eleven months beside the earlier twelve months, including months with no recorded sales. Totals and visual highlights help staff see stronger months and typical demand.
This view combines invoiced product quantities across sellers. The current month is incomplete, and the figures do not expand bundle components or net off refunds.
SearchStock-cover planning
Estimate replenishment needs for a chosen period of stock cover.
- Choose a stock-cover horizon
- Weight recent and longer-term demand
- Focus on shortages or surplus
Stock-cover planning
Estimate replenishment needs for a chosen period of stock cover.
- Choose a stock-cover horizon
- Weight recent and longer-term demand
- Focus on shortages or surplus
Choose a planning horizon from seven days to one year and compare weighted sales demand with sellable stock and outstanding purchases. Adjust the weighting toward recent or longer-term demand, focus on shortages or surplus, and copy the figures for analysis or purchase-order preparation.
Functions in this topic
Choose a stock-cover horizon
Calculate a suggested shortfall against a selected period from seven days to one year.
Weight recent and longer-term demand
Change how the 30-day, 90-day and twelve-month sales rates contribute to the stock plan.
Focus on shortages or surplus
Filter planning results to positive shortfalls or quantities above the calculated plan.
These are buying suggestions, without automatic purchasing, lead-time or order-pack adjustments. Inventory's separate clipboard handoff can use copied Short To Plan figures to prepare purchase lines.
SearchReorder eligibility and notes
Include product reorder rules in your stock plan.
Reorder eligibility and notes
Include product reorder rules in your stock plan.
Planning results can show whether each product is allowed to be reordered and the recorded reason or notes. Filter to reorder-allowed or not-allowed products when deciding what to buy.
This reads existing product settings; it does not change the flag or purchase the stock.
SearchPurchase-order visibility
Review purchases and compare ordered with received quantities.
Purchase-order visibility
Review purchases and compare ordered with received quantities.
Find purchases by order number, supplier, creator, branch, working status or product. See whole-order ordered and received totals, then open the line details to review product quantities and net line costs.
This is purchasing enquiry, with receiving and order amendments handled in Inventory. Product filtering locates relevant orders; displayed quantity totals describe the whole order.
SearchSupplier contact and account information
Find how and when to contact a supplier.
Supplier contact and account information
Find how and when to contact a supplier.
Search by supplier or contact name and consult stored address, telephone, email, website, contact hours and notes. Company, VAT and your account references are available alongside the contact information and can be copied for use elsewhere.
These are stored supplier details, rather than external company or VAT checks. Search does not amend supplier records or place purchases.
SearchReview products with no recent sales
Find stock that has not been selling.
Review products with no recent sales
Find stock that has not been selling.
Ordinary product history can filter to products with no recorded sales in the preceding twelve months, or concentrate on those that have sold. Combine this with sellable-stock filters, last-sale and oldest-stock information, then sort the results to review the products that need attention.
Main history access depends on Business Management permission. This reviews recorded sales and active-stock booking dates; it does not write off stock or recommend a selling price.
Selling and accounts
9SearchFind sales orders and documents
Locate sales using customer, product, order or document information.
Find sales orders and documents
Locate sales using customer, product, order or document information.
Combine an order number, consignment reference or whole invoice number with product codes, buyer details, shipping address, customer and date criteria. Further filters distinguish statuses, sources and individual till operators or sales-channel groups.
These searches locate recorded orders for enquiry. The Search view does not edit fulfilment or open a carrier-tracking service.
SearchSales order context and line details
See the information needed to answer an order enquiry.
- Find orders by document date
- Find orders by item value
- Inspect individual order lines
Sales order context and line details
See the information needed to answer an order enquiry.
- Find orders by document date
- Find orders by item value
- Inspect individual order lines
Results bring together quantities, product codes, item value and currency, source, status, documents, external order and payment references, shipping service, destination, branch and hold information. Open a side panel for the order's individual lines, and optionally filter by item value or the date of an invoice or credit note.
Functions in this topic
Find orders by document date
Add a minimum invoice or credit-note date to the current order enquiry criteria.
Find orders by item value
Narrow the enquiry to an inclusive item-value range while retaining the order's recorded currency.
Inspect individual order lines
Open an order panel showing each product, quantity and calculated line amount.
The displayed item total is calculated from the order lines and shown in its stored currency. Reference fields provide context; the side panel remains a read-only lookup.
SearchFind customers and account details
Locate customer accounts from the information available to staff.
- Find customer identities and tax references
- Find customer groups and notes
- Maintain customer notes and groups
Find customers and account details
Locate customer accounts from the information available to staff.
- Find customer identities and tax references
- Find customer groups and notes
- Maintain customer notes and groups
Combine customer identity, company or username, billing address, email, country, group, notes, assigned price tier and credit-limit criteria. Expand the result columns when contact, VAT or EORI information is needed.
Functions in this topic
Find customer identities and tax references
Search customer identity across billing name, company, external username, VAT number and EORI.
Find customer groups and notes
Combine group, note and email criteria when locating the relevant accounts.
Maintain customer notes and groups
Administrators and selected customer users can use the limited edit mode to maintain these two customer fields.
Normal customer enquiry is read-only. Notes and Group editing is a limited administrative capability intended for administrators and selected customer users.
SearchCustomer order history
See a customer's previous orders without leaving the enquiry.
Customer order history
See a customer's previous orders without leaving the enquiry.
Open a customer side panel showing internal and external order references, quantities, product codes, item totals, sources and dates. Orders appear newest first so staff can begin with the customer's recent activity.
This is order history, rather than an invoice-balance statement or an order editor.
SearchCustomer receivables by currency
See how much is owed and which customer accounts carry it.
- Focus on debit or credit balances
- Total the selected accounts
Customer receivables by currency
See how much is owed and which customer accounts carry it.
- Focus on debit or credit balances
- Total the selected accounts
The finance view shows invoiced and credit-note totals, recorded payments and calculated balances for a selected currency. Focus on positive or negative balances and review totals across the filtered customer results.
Functions in this topic
Focus on debit or credit balances
Filter the selected-currency finance view to customers with positive or negative balances.
Total the selected accounts
Review invoiced, received, balance and ageing totals for the customers returned by the finance filters.
Finance controls depend on Finance Management access. Currency is selected, rather than converted, and totals describe the customers returned by the current filters.
SearchAged balances and unallocated payments
Review the age of account amounts and payments awaiting allocation.
- Review aged account amounts
- Review unallocated payments
- Review a past financial position
Aged balances and unallocated payments
Review the age of account amounts and payments awaiting allocation.
- Review aged account amounts
- Review unallocated payments
- Review a past financial position
View account amounts in 0–30, 31–60, 61–90 and 91-plus-day buckets, alongside unallocated payments. An As at date lets staff review invoice, payment and allocation calculations at a chosen past date.
Functions in this topic
Review aged account amounts
See account amounts in the recorded invoice-date age buckets.
Review unallocated payments
See payment amounts not yet assigned through document allocations.
Review a past financial position
Set an As at date to restrict invoice, payment and allocation calculations to the chosen past date.
Age is based on recorded invoice dates and allocations, rather than a credit-terms due-date calculation. This is finance visibility; the Search view does not allocate payments.
SearchCustomer price checking
Let customers scan items to see their prices.
Customer price checking
Let customers scan items to see their prices.
A dedicated full-screen station accepts product barcodes or staff-printed product-code labels and displays the selected branch's stored retail price and currency. Tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive presentation follows the configured price tier, helping reduce repeated item price-marking work.
Kiosk is included for Search customers and requires compatible scanner input and branch pricing setup. It is a price-checking station, without a checkout or payment function.
SearchKiosk operating hours
Give each price station its own weekly operating pattern.
Kiosk operating hours
Give each price station its own weekly operating pattern.
Configure enabled days and opening and closing times, including overnight periods. On suitable machines the station can hibernate and request a scheduled wake, with screen-off operation available through the supported alternative setup.
Power behaviour depends on Windows, firmware and machine settings. Scheduling resumes an existing kiosk session; it does not start the application after shutdown or a loss of power.
SearchPrice-station guidance and automatic reset
Keep the price station ready for the next customer.
Price-station guidance and automatic reset
Keep the price station ready for the next customer.
Unknown, ambiguous or unpriced items ask the customer to seek staff assistance, while recognised web-address QR scans ask for the product barcode. The product screen returns to the scanning prompt after two minutes, guidance messages return after eight seconds, and a further scan can replace the current product.
The station displays product guidance and prices without a checkout or payment action. Web-address QR guidance does not identify every possible QR payload.

Everyday business enquiries
Find business information and keep useful details alongside the results.
- Keep enquiry details side by side
- Copy enquiry results into other work
Search brings together products, sales, purchases, stock movements, customers, suppliers and activity logs. Open supported detail panels without losing the main results, and copy a displayed field or row, with optional headings, into other work.
Functions in this topic
Keep enquiry details side by side
Leave several supported product or order panels open beside the search results while comparing information.
Copy enquiry results into other work
Copy an individual field or result row with optional headings, and paste product sales or demand matrices into Excel.
Search is primarily a read-only enquiry tool. Clipboard output can be pasted into Excel; it is not a dedicated workbook export.
SearchFind products by codes or description
Combine product filters to find the item a customer needs.
- Review discontinued stock still available
- Review out-of-stock products
Find products by codes or description
Combine product filters to find the item a customer needs.
- Review discontinued stock still available
- Review out-of-stock products
Look up internal or manufacturer product codes, barcodes, title, descriptions, brand, manufacturer, supplier, category and product type. Include or exclude discontinued products and concentrate on products with sellable stock or none available.
Functions in this topic
Review discontinued stock still available
Include discontinued products that retain sellable stock when checking the range available to customers.
Review out-of-stock products
Filter the catalogue to products with no sellable stock when checking availability gaps.
Ordinary product-code lookup can match codes without their punctuation. Product results are read-only; barcode lookup here does not establish a scanner workflow.
SearchSmart Find
Find likely products from the words a customer knows.
Smart Find
Find likely products from the words a customer knows.
A single phrase searches product codes, supplier codes, titles, descriptions, categories, brands, suppliers, box contents, colour, bullets, labels and product news. Vocabulary-based spelling alternatives and word forms help identify likely matches, which are ranked by relevance and can be narrowed with further filters.
Smart Find uses the catalogue loaded for that application session and accepts up to ten words. Its results depend on the quality of the stored product information and are not an exhaustive list of every weak match.
SearchStock locations at a glance
See where a product is held while keeping other products in view.
Stock locations at a glance
See where a product is held while keeping other products in view.
Open a product card with its title, lead image and quantities by named location. Colour distinguishes listable locations, and several cards can remain open for comparison during an enquiry.
These location cards are read-only and do not move stock.
SearchPrices, suppliers and listing references
Look deeper into a product's commercial information.
- Consult branch and channel prices
- Consult supplier costs and codes
- Trace placed purchase lines
- Trace product listing references
Prices, suppliers and listing references
Look deeper into a product's commercial information.
- Consult branch and channel prices
- Consult supplier costs and codes
- Trace placed purchase lines
- Trace product listing references
Product details can show populated branch and channel prices with their currencies, supplier costs and supplier product codes. The same viewer provides outstanding placed-purchase lines, barcode references, notes and recorded eBay item numbers or Amazon ASINs.
Functions in this topic
Consult branch and channel prices
Compare populated stored branch and channel price references with their currencies.
Consult supplier costs and codes
See recorded supplier offers, costs, currencies and supplier product codes for the product.
Trace placed purchase lines
Consult outstanding placed-purchase lines with order dates, branches and ordered or received quantities.
Trace product listing references
See stored Amazon ASINs and eBay item references alongside the product's barcode and notes.
Prices are stored references, rather than a live marketplace comparison. The detailed purchase view covers placed orders; supported channel fields do not mean every channel is connected for a particular client.
SearchInvestigate stock movements
Trace where stock has been and who moved it.
Investigate stock movements
Trace where stock has been and who moved it.
Search recorded movements by product, operator, date and source or destination branch, area, bay and bin. Results show the recorded movement trail, and a detail card summarises retrievable attached stock; serial-number searches help locate movements involving currently active units.
This helps investigate recorded activity rather than recovering or reversing missing stock. Serial-number lookup covers active stock, and detail summaries are not a complete per-unit historical-state report.
SearchActivity logs and investigation
Follow recorded business activity and inspect messages or errors.
- Search activity by its content
- Inspect messages and errors
- Refresh an activity record
- Save activity details for support
Activity logs and investigation
Follow recorded business activity and inspect messages or errors.
- Search activity by its content
- Inspect messages and errors
- Refresh an activity record
- Save activity details for support
Find activity by user, module, date, status or words in its summary and messages. Open separate message and error details, refresh a selected record, or save its recorded messages and errors to text files for investigation and support.
Functions in this topic
Search activity by its content
Find recorded activity using words in summaries, messages or errors.
Inspect messages and errors
Open separate message and error detail tabs for the selected activity record.
Refresh an activity record
Request the selected record again to see recorded progress that may have changed since it was opened.
Save activity details for support
Save the full recorded messages and errors as separate text files with the activity's summary and operator context.
These are stored activity records with operator-requested refresh. Available records depend on the applications' recorded activity; the view is not a continuously updating process monitor.
SearchStock and location help at the kiosk
Help staff find available items while assisting customers.
Stock and location help at the kiosk
Help staff find available items while assisting customers.
Each scan can request available single-item quantities by the selected branch's area, bay and bin. Customers can see this information too, and bundle products can display the number of available sets.
Stock is requested once per scan. Bundle set availability is not restricted to the selected branch by this lookup.
SearchKiosk catalogue refresh and image storage
Keep stations supplied with product information and pictures.
Kiosk catalogue refresh and image storage
Keep stations supplied with product information and pictures.
Set a recurring product-data reload interval while the station continues to use information it has already loaded. Optional local image provisioning stores catalogue pictures on the station to reduce repeated network downloads.
Reloads are configurable scheduled requests. Locally stored images do not make initial product loading or stock enquiry work offline; prices and descriptions can remain unchanged until a successful reload.
SearchInvestigate price-station scans
Help staff understand what happened at a price station.
Investigate price-station scans
Help staff understand what happened at a price station.
Accepted scans can record the time, code, product or outcome, displayed price and machine name. Staff can isolate recorded kiosk activity in Logs and inspect outcomes such as an item not found, an ambiguous barcode or no available price.
Recording is intended for investigation, rather than demand analytics. Outages, exit or restart can leave gaps in recorded activity.
