The MS modules
Inventory
Control stock and plan what to buy.
Inventory gives stock teams a dedicated workspace for locations, individual units, stock movements, checks, purchase orders and receiving. Staff can use stock targets and sales-based planning to prepare replenishment, then book delivered goods into their locations.

- Find a product within a location
- Review occupancy, weight and value
Browse the location tree to see product quantities within a location or its wider area. Location details bring together notes, stock value and weight, item counts and configured capacity information, while product and location barcodes help staff find the right view.
Functions in this topic
Browse branches, areas, bays and bins
Select a location or wider subtree to see the product quantities held within it.
Find a location by barcode
Scan a registered location code to select its place in the warehouse tree.
Find a product within a location
Use a registered product barcode or product-code filter to narrow the selected location's quantities.
Review occupancy, weight and value
Consult the selected location's item counts, stock weight, value, notes and configured limits.
Staff work with their assigned locations; stock valuation uses configured exchange rates.

Functions in this topic
Edit one unit's particulars
Amend a selected unit's serial, notes, cost, currency or expiry information.
Apply particulars to several units
Set chosen details across a selection, with confirmation where mixed existing values would be cleared.
A currency edit changes the recorded currency; it does not convert the cost automatically.

- Record checks for selected units
- Record a product-quantity check
Stock checks and visual priorities
Use location colours to see where checking work is due.
- Identify overdue checking areas
- Record checks for selected units

Configured warning and overdue colours show the average age of stock checks within a location. Staff can confirm checks for selected units or a selected product quantity, recording who checked the goods and when.
Functions in this topic
Identify overdue checking areas
Use enabled warning and overdue colours to see locations whose average check age needs attention.
Record checks for selected units
Confirm the units physically checked so their check date and staff identity are recorded.
Record a product-quantity check
Choose a supported quantity group and record checks against the selected existing units.
Checking records the selected existing units; it does not automatically reconcile missing goods or add surplus stock.
InventoryScan stock for checking and movement
Collect actual stock units with a scanner before acting on them.
- Capture stock with product or serial scans
- Review problematic scans
- Check the scanned units
- Move scanned units
Scan stock for checking and movement
Collect actual stock units with a scanner before acting on them.
- Capture stock with product or serial scans
- Review problematic scans
- Check the scanned units
- Move scanned units
Barcode Wizard collects registered product-barcode or serial matches at the working location, then lets staff check or transfer the captured units. Ambiguous, unknown, already scanned or differently located stock is separated into an issue tray for investigation while scanning continues.
Functions in this topic
Capture stock with product or serial scans
Build a selection of existing units at the working location using registered product barcodes or unit serials.
Review problematic scans
Keep ambiguous, unknown, repeated or differently located scans in a separate issue tray for investigation.
Check the scanned units
Submit the captured units as physically checked without automatically receiving unmatched goods.
Move scanned units
Choose or scan a destination and submit the captured units for a transfer that also records their check.
The wizard works with existing unit records and registered barcodes; unmatched scans do not receive or correct stock automatically.
InventoryMove units or product quantities
Transfer stock while keeping its individual identity and attributes.
- Transfer selected individual units
- Transfer a chosen product quantity
- Check the transfer outcome
Move units or product quantities
Transfer stock while keeping its individual identity and attributes.
- Transfer selected individual units
- Transfer a chosen product quantity
- Check the transfer outcome
Move selected units to another location, or choose quantities grouped by product and attributes such as serial, expiry and notes. Staff review the transfer selection and destination, and the result records moved units and any items needing attention.
Functions in this topic
Transfer selected individual units
Select a permitted destination and move the chosen units while retaining their identity and attributes.
Transfer a chosen product quantity
Review quantities grouped by product and unit attributes before choosing how many matching units to move.
Check the transfer outcome
Review which units moved and which could not proceed under the applicable position or destination checks.
Destination and unit-state checks apply; configured capacity limits can restrict a transfer.

- Set a location's product target
- Set targets from selected stock
- Remove an unwanted target
Set stocking targets by location
Define how much of each product a location should hold.
- Set a location's product target
- Set targets from selected stock
- Remove an unwanted target
Maintain product targets for a selected location, including products whose current quantity is zero. Staff can set a target directly or use selected stock quantities as the starting point for a batch of targets.
Functions in this topic
Set a location's product target
Record how many units of a product the selected destination should hold, including products currently at zero stock.
Set targets from selected stock
Use the summed selected quantities as the starting targets for a confirmed batch update.
Remove an unwanted target
Set a target to zero to remove that product's target at the selected destination.
Targets belong to the selected destination; a zero target removes it.
InventoryTarget-based stock planning
Compare location targets with stock and expected supply.
- Produce a location stock plan
- Focus on products with no branch stock
Target-based stock planning
Compare location targets with stock and expected supply.
- Produce a location stock plan

Functions in this topic
Produce a location stock plan
Generate a PDF comparing target quantities with location stock, branch stock and outstanding purchases.
Focus on products with no branch stock
Generate the planning view limited to target products whose branch stock is zero.
These reports support planning; staff still place purchase orders and carry out stock movements.
InventoryPlan replenishment between locations
Identify stock that can fill another location's shortage.
- Plan stock coming into target locations

- Limit planning to accessible locations
- Save illustrated replenishment reports
Plan replenishment between locations
Identify stock that can fill another location's shortage.
- Plan stock coming into target locations
- Plan stock leaving surplus locations
- Limit planning to accessible locations
- Save illustrated replenishment reports
Replenishment reports suggest source and destination quantities using stock above configured source targets, destination shortages and location relationships. Choose inward or outward views, including versions limited to the locations available to the staff member.
Functions in this topic
Plan stock coming into target locations
Generate suggestions for filling shortages from eligible surplus units above source targets.
Plan stock leaving surplus locations
Generate an outward summary of surplus, needy locations and suggested transfer quantities.
Limit planning to accessible locations
Use the staff-specific inward or outward report to concentrate on assigned location scope.
Save illustrated replenishment reports
Save the supported replenishment tables as PDFs with product images where available.
Reports make suggestions; generating a PDF does not transfer stock.
InventoryRemove and reinstate stock with reasons
Keep excluded stock separate from active inventory.
- Remove stock from active availability
- Find removed stock
- Reinstate stock to a chosen location
- Permanently remove selected Vault records
Remove and reinstate stock with reasons
Keep excluded stock separate from active inventory.

Search Vault products and units using product code or barcode, removal reason, staff member or dates.
Reinstate stock to a chosen location
Restore eligible Vault units with their original identity and a recorded reinstatement reason.
Permanently remove selected Vault records
Authorised staff can confirm permanent removal of selected Vault entries with a reason.
Vault access and editing depend on permissions; reinstatement requires a valid destination and applicable capacity checks.

Save the order header and its new, changed or removed product lines.
Discard unsaved recalled-order edits
Cancel the current unsaved changes and release the recalled order's editing state.
Delete an unwanted purchase order
Confirm removal of the purchase order and its lines, ending later recall or receipt against that order.

Functions in this topic
Add products with supplier codes
Add an individual product with its image, supplier product code, order quantity and cost.
Use supplier minimum quantities
A positive newly added quantity below the recorded minimum can be increased to that minimum.
Review carton information
Consult the recorded master-carton quantity while deciding the buying quantity.
This order-entry route handles individual products; carton information does not automatically round an order to full cartons.
InventoryBuy against outstanding customer demand
Take existing purchase orders and available stock into account before buying more.
- Compare demand with existing supply
- Add calculated shortages to an order
- Include available stock in the calculation
Buy against outstanding customer demand
Take existing purchase orders and available stock into account before buying more.
- Compare demand with existing supply
- Add calculated shortages to an order
- Include available stock in the calculation
The buying view brings together customer backorder demand, outstanding quantities on other supplier orders and available branch stock. Add selected shortages to the purchase order, choosing whether available stock should also reduce the buying requirement.
Functions in this topic
Compare demand with existing supply
See customer shortages alongside other outstanding purchase quantities and available branch stock.
Add calculated shortages to an order
Add positive unmet buying quantities after allowing for the current and other outstanding purchase orders.
Include available stock in the calculation
Choose whether current available stock should further reduce the quantity proposed for buying.
Only positive calculated shortages become new purchase lines; adding them does not itself allocate stock to customers.
InventoryBring Search planning into a purchase order
Turn copied planning results into supplier order lines.
- Add copied planning products
- Use copied planning quantities
Bring Search planning into a purchase order
Turn copied planning results into supplier order lines.
- Add copied planning products

Functions in this topic
Add copied planning products
Use Grab SKUs to bring the copied Search table's products into the working purchase order.
Use copied planning quantities
Use the recognised Short To Plan values and choose how supported zero or negative quantities are handled.
The copied table needs the expected headings and columns; staff choose how zero or negative planning quantities are handled.

- Review cost discrepancies
- Choose which cost to retain
Review supplier and receipt costs
Decide what a changed cost should update.
- Review cost discrepancies
- Choose which cost to retain
When purchase-order or receipt costs differ from the supplier's recorded costs, staff can update the supplier record, restore its cost on the working lines, or keep the new transaction cost without changing the supplier. Currency conversion is used where the cost currencies differ.
Functions in this topic
Review cost discrepancies
Compare order or receipt costs with the supplier's recorded costs, using configured currency rates where needed.
Choose which cost to retain
Update the supplier cost, restore its recorded cost on the working lines, or retain the transaction cost without a supplier update.
Cost comparison and updates depend on configured exchange rates and the selected discrepancy decision.

Enter serial numbers and notes while preparing a receipt, and set expiry dates with a calendar. A recorded product shelf life can supply an initial expiry date for staff to review.
Functions in this topic
Record receipt serials and notes
Enter the serial and notes carried onto the booked units from a receipt row.
Use a shelf-life expiry default
Let a recorded whole-month shelf life supply an initial expiry date for a new receipt row.
Choose a specific expiry date
Use the receipt calendar to set or change the expiry recorded for the goods.
Serial entry does not enforce global uniqueness; a quantity row can book several units with the same entered serial.
InventoryAllocate newly received stock to backorders
Connect incoming goods with waiting customer demand.
- Allocate newly booked goods to waiting orders
Allocate newly received stock to backorders
Connect incoming goods with waiting customer demand.
- Allocate newly booked goods to waiting orders
Receipt rows offer Auto Allocate for the units being booked. When enabled, newly received units can be assigned to matching outstanding backorders in oldest-order-date sequence, updating the remaining shortage.
Functions in this topic
Allocate newly booked goods to waiting orders
Enable the receipt row's Auto Allocate choice to offer its new units to matching oldest outstanding demand.
Allocation applies to the newly booked units; this receipt lookup is not restricted to customer demand in the receiving branch.

Import a standard stock sheet
Validate the required standard-sheet data before posting its prepared stock to the recorded locations.
Import an extended stock sheet
Process supported per-row supplier and currency receipts with row outcomes reported for review.
Microsoft Excel is required; the standard sheet is validated before posting, while an extended sheet can process valid rows before later row errors.

Completed receipt or transfer work can expose an Adjust Costs action. Apportion an additional total across its referenced active units by their recorded costs or product volumes, with rounding handled in the distribution.
Functions in this topic
Distribute a cost by recorded unit value
Apportion an additional total across referenced active units in proportion to their existing costs.
Distribute a cost by product volume
Use available product volumes as the weighting for the additional movement cost.
Weighting values and currency rates must be available; the adjustment applies to the active units referenced by that operation.
InventoryEdit location limits and notes
Maintain the recorded capacity and guidance for a storage location.
Edit location limits and notes
Maintain the recorded capacity and guidance for a storage location.
Authorised staff can amend a location's maximum weight, maximum value and notes from Inventory. Configured limits can then be used by eligible stock-transfer and reinstatement paths.
Location Management editing permission is required; the settings describe configured checks rather than certifying the physical safety of a location or parcel.
Printing and couriers
1InventoryPrint serial-number barcode labels
Give selected stock units readable serial labels.
Print serial-number barcode labels
Give selected stock units readable serial labels.
Select units with recorded serial numbers and print a label for each, containing the product code, serial text and a Code 128 serial barcode. Choose the Windows printer through the print dialog.
This uses the Inventory print dialog and a configured 50 × 25 mm label layout; units without serials are skipped and suitable printer setup is required.

Functions in this topic
Open an individual unit's movement trail
Inspect the recorded source, destination, date and staff member for a selected unit's movements.
Inspect a movement's result
Review its retrievable stock quantities and associated operation messages or errors.
The movement quantity view describes referenced units that remain in active stock.
InventoryFollow stock-work progress and results
Keep receiving and movement work visible alongside the warehouse workspace.
Follow stock-work progress and results
Keep receiving and movement work visible alongside the warehouse workspace.
Supported stock operations create progress cards showing their counts, completion and any reported failures. Completed work can expose its recorded messages and errors so staff can inspect the result without leaving the warehouse work area.
Tracking and available controls differ by operation; progress reporting does not promise recovery after closing or losing power.
