The MS modules
Courier Management
Define the shipping services and rules in detail.
Courier Management is the back-office workspace for couriers, services and routing rules. Configure services separately from couriers and refine selection by branch, destination, postcode, weight, dimensions and other recorded shipment requirements.

Its configuration guides shipping-route selection and Printing's carrier workflows. The current API label-purchase route is Amazon Shipping; configurable CSV routes support other couriers.
No capabilities match these filters. Try fewer words or clear the filters.

9Courier ManagementDefine detailed shipping rules

Define detailed shipping rules
Match shipment characteristics to configured courier services.
- Filter the rule matrix
- Create or copy a rule
- Match shipping promises
- Set physical shipment bands
- Set financial shipment bands
- Include or exclude postcode areas
- Exclude a branch from a rule
Create, copy and edit rules using quantity, weight, volume, cost, retail value, shipping paid and postcode criteria. Associate marketplace shipping promises and set service charge, currency and priority. Branch exclusions let a rule's availability differ across the business.
Functions in this topic
Filter the rule matrix
Combine column filters to find rules with the relevant configured characteristics.
Create or copy a rule
Create a new rule, revise an existing one or use a populated copy as the starting point.
Match shipping promises
Associate a courier service with the configured marketplace delivery promises it can match.
Set physical shipment bands
Enable minimum and maximum quantity, weight and volume criteria for different consignments.
Set financial shipment bands
Use cost, retail-value and customer shipping-paid bands, including currency-specific values.
Include or exclude postcode areas
Configure postcode-list methods and use a prefix-range helper to prepare entries.
Exclude a branch from a rule
Restrict a rule separately from the service's enabled branches.
Rules need configured couriers, services and marketplace promises. The setup screen defines criteria; downstream processing chooses and uses eligible services.
Courier ManagementDefine couriers and their services separately
Maintain detailed carrier records and individual delivery offerings.
Define couriers and their services separately
Maintain detailed carrier records and individual delivery offerings.
Record courier contact and account information, then configure service names, codes, descriptions, delivery times, currencies and shipment types such as letters, parcels or pallets. Choose the configured CSV or API integration route for the courier.
A configured courier record does not open an external carrier account. The currently offered API provider is Amazon Shipping; service availability still depends on the carrier arrangement.
Courier ManagementSet package capacity and documented requirements
Describe which parcel characteristics a service is designed to handle.
- Store parcel and insurance limits
- Store documented-weight and age requirements
Set package capacity and documented requirements
Describe which parcel characteristics a service is designed to handle.
- Store parcel and insurance limits
- Store documented-weight and age requirements
Set service weight, volume, dimensions, length-plus-girth and insurance settings. Documented-weight modes and proof-of-age requirements can be recorded alongside the service for downstream booking and output.
Functions in this topic
Store parcel and insurance limits
Maintain the service's size, weight, volume, girth and recorded insurance constraints for downstream use.
Store documented-weight and age requirements
Record the service's documented-weight mode and proof-of-age requirement.
These are configured limits and requirements, not a physical parcel test, proof of insurance cover or confirmation of a carrier's acceptance.
Courier ManagementConfigure service geography and tax flags
Record service country and postcode settings.
Configure service geography and tax flags
Record service country and postcode settings.
Maintain service country inclusion, postcode lists and their methods, with the associated taxation flags. These service definitions sit alongside shipping rules when the business configures its available delivery options.
Service geography is distinct from rule postcode criteria. Downstream tax and route behaviour depends on the configured settings; these records do not validate an address.
Courier ManagementSet services and default boxes by branch
Tailor the available delivery services to each warehouse branch.
- Enable a service by branch
- Apply a common default box
Set services and default boxes by branch
Tailor the available delivery services to each warehouse branch.
- Enable a service by branch
- Apply a common default box
Select which branches may use a service and choose a default box for each. Apply one box choice to all selected branches when appropriate. Packing uses the configured branch and service default as a starting parcel choice.
Functions in this topic
Enable a service by branch
Choose the branches that may use the service and each branch's default box.
Apply a common default box
Set one catalogue box, or none, for all currently checked service branches.
A default is not confirmation that a parcel used that box. Enabling a service for a branch is separate from excluding that branch from an individual rule.
Courier ManagementConfigure courier shipment and tracking formats
Define the CSV layouts used by legacy courier software.
- Arrange outbound shipment fields
- Arrange incoming tracking fields
- Set file and value formats
Configure courier shipment and tracking formats
Define the CSV layouts used by legacy courier software.
- Arrange outbound shipment fields
- Arrange incoming tracking fields
- Set file and value formats
Arrange outgoing shipment fields and incoming tracking fields, including addresses, service codes, boxes, weights, references and dates. Configure delimiters, headers, row positions, status values, date formatting and weight units to fit the carrier workflow.
Functions in this topic
Arrange outbound shipment fields
Order the carrier's shipment tokens and blank positions in the outgoing format.
Arrange incoming tracking fields
Specify where the reply identifies the consignment, tracking number and accepted status.
Set file and value formats
Configure delimiters, headers, starting rows, collection-date format and weight unit.
Saving a format does not send a shipment. The corresponding external software and Printing input/output folders must use a compatible layout.
Courier ManagementMaintain marketplace shipping promises
Connect locally recorded marketplace services with courier choices.
- Maintain local service promises
- Export and request supported removals
Maintain marketplace shipping promises
Connect locally recorded marketplace services with courier choices.
- Maintain local service promises
- Export and request supported removals
Browse shipping-service definitions by sales source, edit their descriptions and delivery-time classifications, and use them when configuring courier rules. Export the service list to a workbook for review; supported import requests can remove unused service definitions.
Functions in this topic
Maintain local service promises
Browse and edit the marketplace service descriptions and delivery-time classifications used by shipping rules.
Export and request supported removals
Export the service workbook and import eligible deletion requests where no shipping rule still references the service.
Workbook import is for the supported deletion requests, not general bulk creation or metadata updates. Rule matching does not itself guarantee delivery performance.
Courier ManagementMaintain a shared box catalogue
Keep named box sizes available for parcel defaults.
Maintain a shared box catalogue
Keep named box sizes available for parcel defaults.
Add and edit box names with three dimensions. Services and branches can then select those catalogue boxes as their Packing defaults, helping repeated parcel preparation use consistent starting sizes.
The box catalogue is separate from measuring a real packed parcel. Staff can still need a custom size or another box choice.
Courier ManagementReview recorded collection history
Find courier handovers by branch, area and date.
Review recorded collection history
Find courier handovers by branch, area and date.
Manifest History shows the courier, branch, warehouse area, recorded collection time, driver, closing user and linked item count. Choose a recent period and refresh the view to inspect the business's recorded collections.
This is read-only local collection history. It does not book, reopen or reprint a carrier collection.
