The MS modules
Packing
Organise orders into a practical dispatch workflow.
Packing helps staff find orders, prepare optional picking runs, identify goods with images and barcode checks, and build parcels. Eligible orders can travel together, and repeated same-item work can be handled in packing runs with bulk label requests.
Explore what this module can doHow it connects
Uses orders and allocated stock from the connected system. Completed eligible parcels pass label and document requests to Printing, using the shipping routes set up in Courier Management.
No capabilities match these filters. Try fewer words or clear the filters.
Products and catalogue
1PackingAdd a missing product barcode while packing
Register a recognised product's barcode without leaving the dispatch task.
Add a missing product barcode while packing
Register a recognised product's barcode without leaving the dispatch task.
When a barcode is confirmed missing, an authorised product-management user can select a product from the current work and add the barcode mapping. Staff then scan again to continue packing.
This changes the shared product barcode record. It requires product-management authorisation and does not create stock or identify a product automatically.

Find and organise fulfilment work
Select the orders and parcels your dispatch team needs to work on.
- Search across sales channels
- See linked orders and goods
- Focus a packing run
Combine filters for order references, sales source, courier, status, product, quantities, dates and warehouse location. Linked views show the orders, consignments and goods together; readiness indicators distinguish allocated, held, complete and ready-to-pack work. Focus the packing run on a selected working set.
Functions in this topic
Search across sales channels
Combine channel, order, product, shipment and warehouse filters to select the fulfilment work required.
See linked orders and goods
Selecting an order or consignment narrows its related records and displays the goods required.
Focus a packing run
Hide unselected work to keep the linked views and packing carousel on the chosen working set.
The search covers merchant-fulfilled work and excludes cancelled orders. Results describe the current search view; actions check whether the work is still eligible.
PackingReview and select allocated stock
Inspect which physical units will fulfil an order.
- Choose individual stock units
- Maintain unit notes
Review and select allocated stock
Inspect which physical units will fulfil an order.
- Choose individual stock units
- Maintain unit notes
Review ordered, assigned and remaining quantities with product images. Select or remove eligible stock units using location, serial and unit information, and keep notes against those units. Confirm the allocation against the order's physical requirements.
Functions in this topic
Choose individual stock units
Select eligible physical units using their location, serial, cost and notes rather than allocating only a quantity.
Maintain unit notes
Save notes against selected physical units and their matching live dispatch records.
Stock must be eligible for the consignment branch. Packed or progressed goods restrict changes; this selects stock records rather than moving goods between warehouses.
PackingCover back orders with available stock
Find outstanding requirements that available stock may now cover.
Cover back orders with available stock
Find outstanding requirements that available stock may now cover.
The Back Orders view brings together product demand, order dates and customer details. Staff select requirements and ask Packing to allocate eligible stock; any uncovered quantity stays back ordered.
The shortlist is provisional. Actual allocation checks the consignment branch, authorised locations, expiry and current stock availability.
PackingCollect combined picking quantities
Pick the totals needed across several orders in location order.
- Start or resume a picking group
- Group quantities by location
- Save or print a pick sheet
Collect combined picking quantities
Pick the totals needed across several orders in location order.
- Start or resume a picking group
- Group quantities by location
- Save or print a pick sheet
Optional picking runs group allocated goods by product and stock location, ordered by warehouse area, bay and bin. Images, titles, notes and quantities help staff collect the goods. Save an A4 pick-sheet PDF or request a copy through the shared Printing station.
Functions in this topic
Start or resume a picking group
Open the eligible selected work and its established picking group without marking unpicked goods as collected.
Group quantities by location
Combine product requirements at each stock location and order the rows by warehouse area, bay and bin.
Save or print a pick sheet
Prepare a checked A4 PDF for local saving or output through the configured shared Printing station.
One product can have separate location rows. Preparing a list or requesting its print does not record all goods as physically picked.
PackingConfirm picking by barcode and serial
Identify and record the individual goods collected from stock.
- Pick by product and serial
- Replace an unpicked serialised unit
- Unpick and return goods
Confirm picking by barcode and serial
Identify and record the individual goods collected from stock.
- Pick by product and serial
- Replace an unpicked serialised unit
- Unpick and return goods
Staff can record a displayed unit as picked or use product barcode and serial checks. Where appropriate, a free serialised unit of the same product at the same location can replace an unpicked allocation after confirmation. Unpicking asks staff to return the goods before clearing the recorded pick.
Functions in this topic
Pick by product and serial
Use the displayed unit or supported product-barcode and serial checks to record the goods actually collected.
Replace an unpicked serialised unit
Confirm a free unit of the same product at the same location as a replacement for an eligible unpicked allocation.
Unpick and return goods
Acknowledge returning a picked unit to its recorded location before clearing its pick record.
Picking is a physical staff activity. Replacement keeps the product and location unchanged; supported scanner behaviour depends on the installed hardware.
PackingCombine or split fulfilment
Bring eligible orders into one parcel or divide their outstanding goods.
- Move complete product requirements
- Split selected allocated units
- Create a shipment destination
- Review combined notes
Combine or split fulfilment
Bring eligible orders into one parcel or divide their outstanding goods.
- Move complete product requirements
- Split selected allocated units
- Create a shipment destination
- Review combined notes
Use the consignment manager to move complete product requirements or selected allocated units into an existing or new shipment grouping. A website order and an eBay order for one customer can travel together while retaining their original order and invoice associations. Review combined notes before confirmation.
Functions in this topic
Move complete product requirements
Move an outstanding product requirement and its associated eligible allocations together into another shipment grouping.
Split selected allocated units
Move only the chosen eligible units while preserving their order and product associations.
Create a shipment destination
Draft a destination with its courier, service and assigned branch, then create it when confirmed movement uses it.
Review combined notes
Blend the notes from the goods' origins and review them before confirming the consignment changes.
Packing state, labels, branch custody and invoice or shipping-charge requirements can prevent movement. Combining goods does not merge the sales orders or issue an invoice.
PackingPack goods into the right parcel
Use barcode scans or manual box selection to record packing.
Pack goods into the right parcel
Use barcode scans or manual box selection to record packing.
Product barcode input finds the next eligible matching product in the packing run and records it in the active box. Products without a registered barcode can use a manual box choice. The packing view keeps the product, stock location, unit details and box contents together.
A product scan matches a product row rather than proving the exact serial number. Staff prepare the physical parcel; work and label state govern allowed changes.
PackingPrepare same-item orders as a run
Repeat packing actions across a batch of matching orders.
- Repeat barcode or product-code packing
- Repeat product-group sets
- Follow progress and stop a run
Prepare same-item orders as a run
Repeat packing actions across a batch of matching orders.
- Repeat barcode or product-code packing
- Repeat product-group sets
- Follow progress and stop a run
Use search to assemble the relevant orders, then enter a barcode or product code and a quantity for auto-fire. Packing repeats the normal packing action across the run, showing progress and cancellation controls. Completed eligible parcels request labels while the dispatch team prepares the goods.
Functions in this topic
Repeat barcode or product-code packing
Enter a barcode or product code and a repetition count to run the normal packing action across selected work.
Repeat product-group sets
A configured group expands into its component packing actions, with the entered quantity representing repeated sets.
Follow progress and stop a run
View the batch progress and stop admission of further actions while an already admitted action finishes.
The entry accepts 1–500 packing repetitions, not a promised number of labels. Holds, incomplete parcels or a failed handoff can stop progress.
PackingManage boxes and parcel dimensions
Pack one shipment into suitable measured boxes.
- Use standard or custom boxes
- Pack into several boxes
- Keep one box choice across a run
- Unpack or rebox a unit
Manage boxes and parcel dimensions
Pack one shipment into suitable measured boxes.
- Use standard or custom boxes
- Pack into several boxes
- Keep one box choice across a run
- Unpack or rebox a unit
Choose a configured box or enter custom dimensions, select the active box and add further boxes when needed. A run-wide box choice can apply the same size across repeated work. The view summarises contents and calculated weight, with deliberate unpacking or reboxing available where allowed.
Functions in this topic
Use standard or custom boxes
Choose a catalogue box or enter the actual parcel's dimensions.
Pack into several boxes
Add another box and choose which box receives subsequent packing actions.
Keep one box choice across a run
Apply a sticky catalogue box or custom size across repeated packing work until the run choice is switched off.
Unpack or rebox a unit
Deliberately clear an eligible packed unit or move it to another box while the shipment state permits.
Defaults are starting choices, not automatic optimal box selection. Label or dispatch state can restrict reboxing; configured dimensions do not by themselves prove carrier acceptance.
PackingRecognise goods using images and unit details
Give dispatch staff visual product cues alongside barcode checks.
Recognise goods using images and unit details
Give dispatch staff visual product cues alongside barcode checks.
Product images and notes assist allocation, picking and packing. The packing grid can show product code, title, serial, expiry and stock location beside the box assignment, helping staff identify shelf goods and check the unit they are handling.
Images must be available from the configured product records. Displayed serial and expiry details support staff checks; a packing barcode does not independently verify an exact serial.
PackingMaintain dispatch details
Keep addresses, packing notes and shipment deadlines with the work.
Maintain dispatch details
Keep addresses, packing notes and shipment deadlines with the work.
Edit a selected shipping address, maintain separate order and consignment notes, and set or clear an order's latest shipment date. These details stay alongside the work that dispatch staff organise and prepare.
An address may be shared by several consignments, so a correction can affect them together. Date edits do not book a courier or promise a delivery date.
PackingKeep prepared goods under dispatch control
Prepare parcels and request labels when shipment is permitted.
Keep prepared goods under dispatch control
Prepare parcels and request labels when shipment is permitted.
Staff can place or remove an order hold. When the required goods are packed, Packing checks the shipment requirements, finalises the box count and sends eligible normal courier-label requests to Printing. Packed work can be set aside when shipment still needs Sales attention.
Linked orders must meet status, hold and invoice or shipping-charge requirements. A requested label is separate from carrier acceptance, printed output and physical handover.
PackingRecord dispatch through an external shipping route
Handle goods whose delivery is arranged outside the normal label route.
Record dispatch through an external shipping route
Handle goods whose delivery is arranged outside the normal label route.
The explicit External shipping option allows staff to complete the physical packing and, when eligible, record shipment and remove the dispatched units from active stock without requesting a courier label.
External must be deliberately selected. An unknown or invalid courier is not treated as External; order holds and issue requirements still apply.
PackingPrepare parcel identification and delivery paperwork
Request the documents that accompany packed goods.
- Produce box identification labels
- Produce delivery-note PDFs
- Request invoices after packing
Prepare parcel identification and delivery paperwork
Request the documents that accompany packed goods.
- Produce box identification labels
- Produce delivery-note PDFs
- Request invoices after packing
Create per-box identification labels with address and order references, and delivery-note PDFs describing the packed products, quantities, serials and weights. Request existing invoices for linked orders, with options to trigger invoice and delivery-note output after packing completes.
Functions in this topic
Produce box identification labels
Generate address, order, parcel and product references for each selected packed box.
Produce delivery-note PDFs
Describe the actual packed products and components with quantities, serials and weight totals.
Request invoices after packing
Queue existing linked invoices and optionally request invoice or delivery-note output when packing completes.
Delivery notes describe packed goods. Invoice requests use existing invoices; Printing handles the requested output through configured printers.
PackingReview dispatch and tracking records
Find stored shipment references and request marketplace tracking updates.
Review dispatch and tracking records
Find stored shipment references and request marketplace tracking updates.
Search by order or tracking reference to inspect courier, service, tracking numbers and shipment quantities. Staff can edit order-level tracking details and request another marketplace transmission after saving the changes.
This is recorded shipment information rather than live parcel-location tracking. Sending requests downstream processing; changing a record does not replace a carrier label.
PackingResolve the product required by an order
Correct an eligible order's product assignment before allocating its goods.
Resolve the product required by an order
Correct an eligible order's product assignment before allocating its goods.
Open a searchable product-code and title chooser from the allocation view. An accepted single-product or product-group assignment rebuilds the physical requirements while preserving the order line's identity, so staff can resolve a missing or unsuitable product mapping.
Existing allocations, shipped quantities, incompatible product types or inconsistent group quantities can prevent reassignment. This changes an eligible order's product requirements rather than substituting goods that have already left.
Search and visibility
1PackingCheck incoming-order freshness and dispatch alerts
See when marketplace orders were last collected and which dispatch work needs attention.
Check incoming-order freshness and dispatch alerts
See when marketplace orders were last collected and which dispatch work needs attention.
View the recorded order-sync times by marketplace and the oldest relevant sync age beside order search. An operational banner highlights unknown branches or services, orders due to ship today and tracking errors, helping staff decide what to investigate next.
These are periodically refreshed records and prompts, not a live delivery guarantee. Viewing sync times does not start a marketplace sync; a failed refresh can leave previous information visible.
